Privacy Policy
We process personal data only where necessary to provide a functional website and the services offered through it. This policy explains what data we collect, why, on what legal basis, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

Transfer & Chauffeur Service
EL Hassane Tadrart
Im Kamp 14
52146 Würselen
Germany
- Phone: +49 2405 6458280
- Email: info@ramsteinairporttransfer.com
Our Role
Ramstein Airport Transfer is a booking platform. We do not operate the vehicles ourselves. Transfer and chauffeur services are carried out by licensed partner companies. To arrange your journey, we pass the details of your booking to the partner company performing it. That company then processes your data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Confirmation of whether we process data concerning you, access to that data, and a copy of it (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Correction of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), or restriction of processing where erasure is not possible (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Receive your data in a portable format and have it transmitted to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
Hosting
Our website is hosted by:
STRATO GmbH
Pascalstraße 10
10587 Berlin
Germany
The servers are located in Germany. STRATO processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Server Log Files
When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits information that is stored in server log files. This includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and information about your browser and operating system.
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to maintain its security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation). Log files are deleted automatically after a short retention period.
Cookies and Consent
We use a consent management tool (Complianz) to obtain and record your choices regarding cookies and third-party services that are not strictly necessary.
A cookie storing your consent settings is placed on your device so that you are not asked again on every visit. This cookie is necessary to document your consent as required by law. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) TDDDG.
Services that are not strictly necessary — in particular Google Maps and Google Places — are only loaded after you have given your consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our website.
Technically necessary cookies are also used for basic website functions such as caching and form handling. These do not require consent.
Booking and Enquiry Forms
Our booking form and our contact and group enquiry forms collect the data required to arrange your journey. Depending on the form, this includes:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Pickup and drop-off locations
- Date and time of travel
- Number of passengers and luggage
- Flight details, where relevant
- Any additional information you provide
This data is processed to respond to your enquiry and to perform or prepare the contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Address and route data. To help you enter accurate pickup and drop-off locations, our forms use Google Places autocomplete. When you type into an address field, your input is transmitted to Google, which returns matching suggestions. We also use Google's Distance Matrix service to calculate the distance and estimated travel time between your pickup and drop-off points, which allows us to quote a price. The addresses you select, the resulting coordinates, and the calculated distance are stored together with your booking. See the section on Google Maps and Places below.
Transmission to partner companies. Once a booking is confirmed, we send the details necessary to carry out the journey — typically name, phone number, pickup and drop-off address, date and time, and passenger count — to the partner company performing the transfer. This is done by email. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the transmission is necessary to perform the contract.
Enquiry storage. Submissions through our contact forms are also stored in the website database by the Flamingo plugin, in addition to being sent to us by email. This allows us to contact you about your enquiry and to retrieve it when handling follow-up questions. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in proper handling of customer communication). Stored enquiries are deleted after six months.
Retention. Where a booking results in a business transaction, we retain the associated records for ten years, as required by German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO). Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after six months.
Email Delivery
Emails sent from our website — including booking confirmations, enquiry notifications and messages to partner companies — are delivered via:
Mailjet (Sinch Email)
13-13 bis rue de l'Aubrac
75012 Paris
France
Mailjet processes the sender and recipient addresses, subject lines and message content required to deliver the email. Mailjet acts as a processor on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. Servers are located within the European Union.
Google Maps and Google Places
We use Google Maps and Google Places to provide address autocomplete in our booking and enquiry forms and to calculate distances and travel times for pricing. These services are provided by:
Google Ireland Limited
Gordon House, Barrow Street
Dublin 4, Ireland
These services are only loaded after you have given your consent. Until then, the relevant part of our form is replaced by a notice explaining that Google Maps is required. If you prefer not to consent, you can still book by phone, email or WhatsApp using the contact details on this website.
When Google Maps and Places are loaded, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. This transmits your IP address and allows Google to place cookies on your device. What you type into the address fields is sent to Google in order to return suggestions. If you are signed in to a Google account, this activity may be associated with that account.
Google may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses for such transfers.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie settings.
Further information is available in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and in the Google Maps terms at https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/.
Order Processing (WooCommerce)
Bookings placed through this website are processed using WooCommerce, an e-commerce system running on our own servers. No booking data is transmitted to the developers of WooCommerce or to any other third party through this system.
WooCommerce stores the data required to process and document your booking: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, the details of the journey booked, the amount charged, and the status of the order. It also sets technically necessary cookies to keep your session and cart contents available while you complete a booking.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract) for the order data, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the technically necessary cookies. Retention follows the ten-year statutory period described above.
If you create a customer account, the data you provide is stored until you delete the account. You can request deletion at any time using the contact details above.
Payment
Payments are processed by:
PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.
22-24 Boulevard Royal
L-2449 Luxembourg
PayPal also handles payments made by credit card and other methods offered through the PayPal checkout, without requiring a PayPal account.
If you choose to pay, the data necessary to process the transaction is transmitted to PayPal. This typically includes your name, address, email address, phone number, IP address and the details of the transaction. PayPal processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Depending on the payment method selected, PayPal may transmit data to credit agencies for identity and creditworthiness checks. PayPal may also share data with service providers, subcontractors or affiliated companies where necessary to perform the contract.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the transmission is necessary to process your payment.
PayPal's privacy policy is available at https://www.paypal.com/uk/legalhub/privacy-full.
Contact by WhatsApp
Our website includes a link that opens a chat with us in WhatsApp. The link itself does not load any content from WhatsApp — no connection is made until you click it.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland) receives your phone number and the content of your messages, and processes this data under its own privacy policy. Data may be transferred to servers outside the European Union, including the United States.
We use the messages you send us to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the contact relates to an existing or prospective contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
WhatsApp's privacy policy is available at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.
If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can reach us by phone or email.
